About this Manual

This manual describes Hullspeed, a program used to predict the resistance of hull designs. The manual is organised into the following chapters.

Chapter 1 Introduction

Contains a description of Hullspeed, its theoretical fundamentals and its resistance prediction algorithms.

Chapter 2 Using Hullspeed

Explains how to use Hullspeed’s analysis routines.

Chapter 3 Hullspeed Reference

Gives details of each of Hullspeed’s menu commands.

Chapter 4 Theoretical Reference

Lists abbreviations and terms used in Hullspeed and contains a bibliography.
