Seakeeper has been validated against various sources of public data.
The numerical calculation routines and algorithms for the two dimensional section hydrodynamic coefficients have been validated against calculations for standard sections, e.g. Bishop and Price (1979).
In addition the heave and pitch response, predicted by Seakeeper, has been validated against several sources of experimental data from both model scale and full size vessels: e.g. Molland et al. (1995) and data obtained by AMECRC for various full scale vessels and model yachts tests.
