Working with Stringers

Stringers are defined using contours which lie in a surface of the design. As their name suggests, they are usually associated with stringers which run along the hull between frames however they can also be used to define other curves which lie in a surface such as longitudinals for engine beds, stiffeners on a plate or boundaries for a plate.
